Resizing Your Browser’s Text Size

This page will instruct you how to increase and decrease the size of the text on a web page without distorting the images. Click the name of your browser from the list below to see the instructions for that browser.

Internet Explorer Show

  • Press ‘Alt + v’. Select ‘Text Size’ and select the text size desired from the list.
  • FirefoxShow

    On Windows

  • Press ‘Alt + v’. Select ‘Zoom’ and select ‘Zoom Text Only’ so that there is a check mark to the left of ‘Zoom Text Only’.
  • Press ‘Ctrl + +’ to enlarge the text size.
  • Press ‘Ctrl + -’ to reduce the text size.
  • Press ‘Ctrl + 0’ to reset the text size to 100%.
  • On a Mac

  • Press ‘ + v’. Select ‘Zoom’ and select ‘Zoom Text Only’ so that there is a check mark to the left of ‘Zoom Text Only’.
  • Press ‘ + +’ to enlarge the text size.
