John Wesley was one of the most influential ministers in all of Christian history, and this old but still potent film provides an excellent introduction to the major events in his life and the many obstacles he had to overcome. Fullscreen.

- Dated but a good overview of Wesley

The film is done in the 1950s style it is a colorized version of the original BW that I saw in church as a young lad in the 60s. The early scene of the young John Wesley being rescued from the fire at Epworth is etched in my memory... in BW. Because of the age of the film those accustomed to the brilliance of modern movie making might be disappointed. It is definitely a dated piece. But as an overview of Wesley's life and ministry I think it is quite effective.
