Following a brief account of Saint Paul's (nee Saul) conversion to Christianity, Apostle Paul and the Earliest Churches: Paul in Asia Minor traces the course of three expeditions the Apostle made, spreading the good news in what is now known as Turkey – in an area characterized by great beauty and quality antiquities, both of which make for a thrilling journey. Orienting viewers with 3-D animated maps, the program visits such renowned places as Antioch, Lystra, Corinth, and Tarsus, with special emphasis placed on Ephesus (probably Turkey's most celebrated archeological site), where the cameras capture the Temple of Artemis, the Celsus Library, Domition's Temple, and St. John's tomb. Silent reenactments help to convey a sense of Paul's travels and teachings, for which he endured much suffering (Paul was stoned, imprisoned, and – finally – tried in Rome and beheaded). DVD extras include Turkish and Arabic language tracks, as well as a study guide in PDF format. A skillful blend of nicely-photographed travelogue and religious history, this is recommended.

Few of us will be fortunate enough to travel to Asia Minor and be able to walk where the Apostle Paul walked. The next best thing is to view Apostle Paul and the Earliest Churches. The 48-minute film traces Paul conversion from Sail and his journey throughout the region to spread the gospel. It's amazing to see the mosaics, statues, amphitheaters and temples, which have, at least in part, survived all of these centuries. Trace Paul’s steps as he sets up the earliest churches – Ephesus, Antioch, Tarsus, Galatia and others. Learn of a time, before denominations, when followers of Christ were simply New Testament Christians. You will also see reenactments of miracles Paul performed, the difficulties he face along his path and the persecution early Christians endured. There is also a PDF study guide, which can be printed off your computer, making this an excellent teaching tool. Vision Video produces many Biblical documentaries, which any student of the Bible would find interesting.

This brief 48 minute film contains an archeological treasury:mosaics, frescoes, statues, amphitheaters, agoras, temples and more. The historical, religious and archeological background of each Anatolian region in which Paul preached the gospel is explain to us. This is an illumination vision to the places where key New Testament events took place.
