Monica Myklebust, M.D. is the Integrative Specialist with a unique and impressive background including a Family Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic. She is a senior graduate fellow of the Integrative Medicine Program in Tucson personally directed by Dr. Andrew Weil. She was one of the first thirty physicians to participate in this two-year residential fellowship. Dr. Monica is co-creator of the Healing Food Pyramid, used as a national nutrition tool. As former clinical services director of University of Michigan Integrative Medicine, she built an Integrative Medicine Clinic, created Comfort TV programing for hospital patients, began a fellowship to train physicians in Integrative Medicine, and wrote national policies used by academic health centers to incorporate integrative therapies such as acupuncture, massage, and energy medicine. And, as a former Medical Director of the University of Maryland Center for Integrative Medicine, she was a mentor for hundreds of healthcare professionals seeking an integrative approach. She became actively involved in national healthcare optimization agendas through the Consortium of Academic Health Centers in Integrative Medicine and the Bravewell collaborative.
